An opinion poll by Intel Research Solutions (IRS) puts William Ruto on 50.5% of the vote in the presidential election if the poll was held today, ahead of Raila Odinga on 44.2%. If accurate, the poll suggests Deputy President William Ruto could win the election in the first round.

The opinion poll was based on a random sample of 25,999 registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 1%.

Among the minor candidates in the presidential race the IRS poll suggests George Wajackoyah would receive 1.9% of the vote and David Mwaure 1.1%.
