The main transport terminus in Iten has been closed due to violent clashes between members of four registered transport SACCOs that resulted in over 70 assault cases reported (The Star, July, 19th) quoted Police Commander Francis Ngule saying the Sacco’s had until Friday to relocate to their new areas of operation and that the terminus would now be used for other economic activities. Obadiah Kibet, Vice Chairman of the Trans Valley Traveler’s Sacco blamed the county government for the lack of security to protect the Kshs 1 billion business.
