Tonight on Citizen TV, for the first time in public, ‘Total Man’ Nicholas Biwott tells of spending two weeks in prison in November 1991 when he, along with eight others, were questioned over the murder of Dr Robert Ouko following the Gicheru Public Inquiry

Biwott told interviewer Waweru Njoroge: “…  the toilets were bad and the room itself was empty, bare, with very tall walls, and light, light was coming from dim window at the top”

Tonight’s episode also deals with Ouko’s friend and youth campaigner James Onyango K’Oyoo (now MP for Muhoroni) and the only man to be tried for Ouko’s murder, former DC for Nakuru Jonah Anguka, whose wife Susan was the Minister’s Personal Assistant.
